Took a 3rd place, not bad against some great competition
Last item on my (William II) bucket list, to attempt the climb up Mount Evans in the TD on June 8, 2014

The Vehicle Pass purchased 6/8/2014

We stopped at the Dos Chappell rest area at 10,732 feet. It wouldn’t start, so we adjusted the fuel mixture three flats and continue up.

It’s snowing and blowing; we pull into Summit Lake at 12,836 feet to put the top up.

I also put my hood up. I ask Ben if we should press on, I am pleased when he answers “Let’s continue up.”

There is plenty of winter snow, we don’t need more.

The new snow continues at the parking lot at 14,130 feet. We can’t say we climbed a fourteen-er because we didn’t walk up the 132 feet to the top.

After we tour the Cliff House ruin, we head down the mountain.

It gets clear enough to see the scenery in the headlamp.

We have a fine lunch in Morrison, and Ben takes over the driving for the balance of the trip.
Bucket List complete!

2010
After purchasing the MGTD in June 2010, the only event we did in 2010 was the “All English Conclave” in September, we really enjoyed the first show we went to. Didn’t win anything, but learned about the competition.
